The rulebook

Fewest strokes wins.

That's the thesis. Everything below is how it's enforced — the same logic the app runs, written out so nobody argues at midnight.

Scoring

The lawEvery bar is a hole. Every hole gets a score. Lowest total takes the night. The leaderboard sorts ascending — rank 1 is the fewest strokes — and ties share rank (1-2-2-4).

During play, the live board ranks by score relative to par through the holes you've finished, so a late joiner isn't buried mid-round. At the end, the final ranking goes holes-completed first, then fewest strokes — finish the whole crawl and the two orders agree.

Round playoffs: sudden death

Exact round-lead ties go to a sudden-death extra hole. The extra hole fires only when the app sees a genuine two-way tie for the lead:

  • Two players, dead even

    Same holes completed, same total strokes, neither a designated driver — the app flags a sudden-death extra hole. One more hole. Lowest score takes it.

  • When it doesn't fire

    Three or more players tied — the later rounds decide. A designated driver in the top two — DDs never playoff; heroes, not competitors. An unscored lead — no data, no playoff.

House rules

  • Tiebreak penalty

    +1 sip

    The +1 sip tiebreak penalty applies where the game says it does. Sip responsibly — 21+.

  • Designated drivers

    Excluded from playoffs

    DDs keep the night safe. They're excluded from playoffs — heroes, not competitors — and still get the full crawl.

  • The 9×9 hotdog

    2-stroke penalty

    Order the 9×9 hotdog, take 2 strokes. Glory has a price.
